Welcome to TreatNow Pet Health Ltd’s Privacy, Cookie and Data Protection Policy (“Privacy policy”), which is operated by TreatNow Pet Health Ltd (“TreatNow”); whose registered office address is 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.

At TreatNow (“we”, “us”, or “our”) we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the Data Protection Act 2018 and all other laws and regulations in the United Kingdom.

This privacy policy covers important information on how we collect, use, process and protect information about you, who we may share it with, as well as your rights. We encourage you to read it carefully.

Please note that data related solely to animals is not subject to data protection law, and is not covered under this policy. Any data about your animal is covered by the Royal College of Veterinary Service (RCVS) guidelines.

This policy covers most of the ways in which you will interact with us, through the website, on social media, or via any of the content, services or products we offer in the United Kingdom. By interacting with us, you are accepting the privacy policy and terms & conditions. You acknowledge and agree to the collection, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as permitted and described by this privacy policy. Data Controller

TreatNow Pet Health Ltd is your Data Controller and responsible for your personal data. We do not process or monitor any personal or sensitive data at a large scale and are therefore not obliged by the GDPR to appoint a data protection officer. Other Controllers:

When you use our website and click on external links or external integrations, or visit our social media pages, your personal data may also be processed by the providers of those services – such as payment processors, Google or Meta. Completely separate from us, those sites will collect further information about you for their own purposes. TreatNow might also be jointly responsible with the other company for determining how and why your personal data is used, and making sure that it is protected where we also use the data they collect.

The personal data we collect

“Personal Data” means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data) or any data about your animal.

Data that we collect may include:

Identity Data: Your first name, last name, gender, date of birth
Profile Data: Details of your shopping preferences and personal details (such as purchase history and lifestyle, location or household details that you have provided) which help us to recommend items to you, and suggest product subscription frequencies or to send you or make available personalised offers
Contact Data: Your phone number, address, email addresses - including social media account information if you contact us that way
Marketing and Communications Data: Your contact preferences in receiving marketing information and other information from us
Billing Data: Information relating to your debit and credit card information, such as the name attached to your payment details and your billing address

Directly from you: You may give us any of the above information as you use or request services from us, by placing an order or subscribing or contacting us via social media, telephone, post or email. We may also collect data if you attend any events at which we are present.

We also collect, use and share Aggregated Data, such as the frequency at which people use flea, tick and worming products, pet information and lifestyle factors. This information is used to ensure the accuracy of our product and frequency recommendations. We may share this type of anonymous data with others, including veterinary professionals, affiliates, current and prospective business partners. This Aggregated Data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity and is not considered in law as Personal Data. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your Personal Data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as Personal Data which will be used in accordance with this privacy policy. We do not collect or use any Special Categories of Personal Data, such as religion, sexuality, or health data. Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Keeping your personal data secure

We take the security of your Personal Data seriously and have security measures in place to protect your data, and limit how it can be assessed or disclosed.

Our website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect the transfer of your information to and from our website. Our website URL will start with https, and a padlock will be displayed in front of the URL bar to show that we are encrypting the information that you send us. However, even with appropriate measures no transmission of Personal Data over the internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under the control of TreatNow Pet Health Ltd to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect your Personal Data, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any Personal Data you transmit to us. Any such transmission is done at your own risk. Any Personal Data collected by us is only accessible by a limited number of employees, contractors or service providers who have a need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instruction, and they are bound by a duty of confidentiality and other contractual obligations to protect your data.

We do not store full payment card details and any payments made via our online checkouts are processed and managed by a Payment Card Industry’s Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliant payment processor, which is not part of TreatNow Pet Health Ltd.

Data retention

We will only retain your data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax or reporting requirements. In most cases, personal data will be retained for a period of 6 years from the date at which we stopped providing services to you. We may retain your Personal Data for a longer period than usual in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

International transfer of data

If we need to transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we will ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by implementing at least one of the following safeguards:
